LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT.

“Mi Ma wu dumso” Mr. President,

It is with a kind heart at which I address you today, I am a young citizen of this nation, who has this country’s progress at heart. Before I proceed, how are you doing your Excellency? What about Aunty Lordina and the kids?
Well, I know the harsh conditions in the country aren’t affecting them at all, because I know they are obviously well.

Your Excellency, since you acceded the seat of Presidency, I haven’t had the time to congratulate you. For your double sweet victory or so it seems, both on the voting day and the Supreme Court judgment day. Please allow me seize the opportunity to do so now. I was extremely excited over your campaign, its “Edey Beee K3k3” slogan, the songs, the manifesto, etc..
If I may, I would like to say, that I am one of few Ghanaians who voted you into power, who is still in a dilemma whether I made a savory choice or not, well for now I retire that to posterity.

Mr. President, I have some few concerns I would like to express, please sir, my language in this letter depicts the actual condition I face as a citizen.
I do appreciate your intended effort in solving our impediments for us but please wait oo, can you pin point the people, who enjoyed chewing the meat, leaving the bones for us Ghanaians to droll over? Hmmmm!

The state of our nation has been deplorable since your government took office; I am not oblivious of the fact that you took office right after the demise of John the third, the Late Prof. Mills and the brouhaha that surrounded your election which was contested in the court.

Mr. President, I can see your government hasn’t been infamous at all when it comes to market fires, scandals and corruptions etc. First off, I will like us to throw some more light on the already glooming scandals; I must commend you for the over-hauled system of forming fruitless committees whenever there’s a problem. But Sir, Na Who Cause Am?

It appears the people you entrusted your hopes to help you accomplish your manifesto, "Apuu mƐ manifesto" which I vehemently doubt if there’s any, isn’t helping you at all, from Zoomlion, RLG, GYEEDA, SUBAH and almighty GRA etc.
We need swift actions and not fruitless talks. Oh it looks like I left out the Akonfem Saga too.

Mr. President, Na Sika Nu Wo Hi? Are we leaving these people to squander our money without any punishment just like that? I suggest that you allow us the citizens, to a mass flogging of all these people mentioned in the reports for stealing or sorry misappropriating state funds at Rawlings Park in Accra.

The taxpayer wakes up every morning, disappointed with the endless and countless “Wahala” your government is exposed to and how lavishly your ministers enjoy, when we all sat here and watched, when and how disgracefully some fared in the appointment committee seating. And now all those people are ministers, how do you expect any restful sleep, when your cabinet is filled with power-drunk, corrupt, selfish, unpatriotic, greedy, block-headed, myopic thinkers and egoistic ministers, your sleepless nights won't be a new phenomenon, when you have turned a deaf ear and blindfolded your eyes to see the clearly demarcated line that is leading to the collapse of this country.

In my own estimation, we have lost over Ghc 144million as a country, to scandals and the lack of professionalism and nationalism by your subordinates in discharging of their duties, and this you and I know, it is a small fraction of the whole sum if well calculated.
Should I say then, that your government has shown clearly acts of negligence and incompetence, on the part of the so-called officers of state, who should be working in our interest, but rather they have chosen their stomachs over the country?
For example the MP’s who have exorbitantly increased their wages while living freely in state bungalows, without paying any utility charges and still have the guts to demand for security protection, all I will say to them is God is watching.

Your Excellency, how far have you dealt with the claims of Mr. Alban Bagbin? Hehehe “Atinga bƐ yere Atinga” in this instance I would borrow the favorite quotes of Fmr. Prez. J.J Rawlings “abua bi bƐ ka wua na Ɔfra ŋtuma” this needs no further translation as it has been significantly used over the years.  I must exclusively affirm that I was however disappointed in the manner at which you replied him, it makes me doubt if truly you are a “father” because if any of your sons complain of stomach ache and you devour his plea by locking up the washroom then “ese woara”. Remember that he is or was part of the “three wise men” that you have channeled the priority projects to. By the way, how far with two hundred schools you promised? Ayoo.

Your Excellency, the country has been highly intoxicated with a pungent smell of corruption scandals, strikes, demonstrations, high increase of taxes and no show, leaks and what have you.
Talking about leaks let me say that I was one of the millions who knew she carried a lot of trouble with her always, judging from her….hehehe
I heard how you swiftly fired Victoria Hammer, for her “vickyleaks” secrets Eeeiii! “Vicky, wu tu nu nu, wala wu zi” hehehe. That not with-standing, I would like to know if truly you asked Nana Oye Lithur, to go see the “Cats” in their chambers or not?
Your Excellency “Won ko wo sem pa”

I would also like to stress out this few things with you before I end my letter,
Mr. President, the on-going road projects have sparked wild fire from angry commuters, who truly understand the percentages of work done by commuting daily to conduct their business.
As for Mr. Felix Kwashie Ofosu, the least said about him the better, please tell him that the speed at which he drives to work, without been stopped by any traffic nor even feel the heavy depths of the potholes should be enough reason that he doesn’t feel the pain, heat and stress as much as we do.
If you care to know most of the youth and citizen of this nation like myself are getting highly agitated by these trend of events and the sooner you step up your game the better.

And to General Nunoo Mensah, he should understand that some of us do know what real patriotism is, and not the likes of him who will run out of the country like chickens been scattered by the shadows of a crow. He should be spoken to that “opanin a Ɔtinasi ema nmofra ere nanka no, ye bu nanka re foƆa oka hu”.

I would like to conclude on a sad note, our hospitals aren’t functioning like they should, the sting in Accra too is understandable, as the AMA boss isn’t putting effective measures in place to solve this canker, I doubt if he sees properly with the way his beard has covered a large portion of his face, “Atta Oko” kƐ efea shƐ oshƐŋ”.

Even though we scored Egypt massively, we still know that the money you promised or gave the Black stars is too much, whiles schools, hospitals are other sectors for development need help. A word to the wise in enough.
I pray my letter to you, swerves your able lieutenants with sharp-teeth’s and greedy bastards.

I would like to quote you sir “that if the Yutong bus driver is sleeping give him coffee but remember 2016 is still larking around the corner.

Thank you, Mr. President,

Pictorial

Pictorial I

I sit on the edge of her words to me,
filled with hope. I raise to twine my desire in her palm.
I rest my brush on the canvas of her love.......

Pictorial II

She's worlds apart but I still feel her presence,
like air I need her in my lungs, my memories can't forsake her glance,...
so tonight I dare her for a dance.......

Pictorial III

I wet my dreams in her delicacy, in her fantasies I twirl,
I am soaked in pigments of ecstasy,
so tonight I shall fetch from her well.......

Pictorial IV

Naked, on my words of roses I present she will lay,
under the watchful eyes of the young moon,
cursed with love with nothing to say, I wish this warmth never fades soon.....

Pictorial V

I sit on the edge of her words to me,
She's worlds apart but I still feel her presence,
I am soaked in pigments of ecstasy........

LOAD SHEDING- WAHALA

E.C.G quench ma power again,
and this dey drive me insane,
just as an addict on weed and cocaine,
everybody’s got power expect my lane,
I can’t get pissed cos when I do nothing can refrain,
Because the words I may utter will be profane,

I’ve got a date with Mary-Jane
and I badly need to iron can you feel my pain,
this is Ghana, so there’s no need to complain,
how I wish it will rain,
then I can postpone without having to explain,
E.C.G can’t make all my efforts be in vein,

In fact a box iron I must obtain,
I guess I would have to travel on a train,
to the western part of Ukraine,
Ah! dey must be flogged with a cane,
if you believe join me in the ‘flog E.C.G campaign’,
Putting off power without announcing is inhumane,
Kwaku please buy me 5Ghc credits from Zain,

Make l call am to postpone,
the date,
I know say she go bone,
but I’ve got to, to avoid any feather debate,
I’ve got no other choice than to phone,
her to let her know, I know I won’t get this chance I’ve blown,
Because tonight she will be flown,
back to Sierra Leone,

But I wonder,
How over 50 yrs of Ghana’s independence,
they still commit the same blunders,
imagine being in a meeting with expatriates in attendance,
then “fuwin” light off, you’re expose because you kno got a generator after all your bluff,
I feel it’s time we tell them we’ve had enough,
from V.R.A, Gridco and almighty E.C.G.
while we dey suffer, dey sit in their office dey sip tea.

Beautiful Deception

If beauty on the face,
depicts what lies in the heart,
then you would’ve won my heart over a million times,
with your perfect beauty of deception….

When I think deeply,
I think of all the horrible things you put me through,
And I have come to a conclusion,
you are just a typical lady who is here for one thing.

Unless you can prove to me there is more to me than what you want,
I have no sense in sticking through all these,
pain, lying, disbelief, anger and hurt you put me through,
So I ask you now do you love me for who I am?
Or do you say that to me just for one thing?

I'm sick of the lies you tell me and it hurts me,
when all these people say you’re using me,
I just blow them off,
I was completely blind when people said stuff.
Until last night reality hit me and its telling me everything they’re saying is true.

For this past year you have lied to me.
Prove to me and everyone else and especially yourself,
you are a lady enough to have a relationship,
with out your childish mistakes, making you forget the one you supposedly love,
But until that day comes you aren’t getting anything from me.

Until you understand all the pain you put me through,
even though I been with you through thick and thin.
All I am asking you to do is tell me the truth!

For my Spirits' been hurt,
So deeply by your actions.
It literally turned me off,
of all other attractions.

What a fool I've become
to trust you to love me
how blind I was, how
couldn’t I see?

You were my world or
so it seems,
When my eyes are closed,
In my dreams.

Your action boils over and over in my mind.
Making me feel all those words I told and wrote for you
were in vein and that real emotion you claimed I made you feel
occupying my soul with your love, which filled my head.

But it appears what you said you felt for me,
were for someone else, “hmmm” tell it to the marines,
because you never felt them at all.

Because my love for you was so strong!
I thought I could never hate you but I guess I was wrong,
all I can do now is sit and analyze
and hope one day you would realize.
That I did not deserve this and you should have told me.
I came in with love and now I move on with a heart made of stone.

WHAT IF?

What if i had all the words but couldn't win a girls heart?
What if i had a broad face but can't smile?
What if i had a heart that can't beat?

What if i had a dream and woke up,
to find someone else living it?

What if i drink to forget my pain
but my problems never get drunk
even after the last drop in the glass?

What if i had wealth but can't feed the poor?
What if everything i boost of isn't truly mine?
What if i was tricked to love and i never found out?

What if i die just minutes after i win billions of money,
which i fought for all my life, what use will be then?
What if all the lies i told caught up on me one day,
when i've just decided to speak the truth?

What if gained every material wealth that will perish after i'm gone?
What if i'm healthy but can't leave long?
What if i had faith but can't walk on water?

What if Jesus is truly coming for the second time?
What if you wished to put everything right but you simply can't?
Take the remote and pause your life for just a minute,
try hard to find out your wither you're not living someone else's life.
Think about it.

Letter To Naa Anyeley

Dear Naa Anyeley,
I would won’t to begin by saying hi;
I know the responses will make you shy,
My reason for writing is that I,
Feel something fly,

In my stomach, each time I,
Set eyes on you, I guess it’s a butterfly,
//sigh//
I know your birthday was in July,
Please tell me what you’d like me to buy,

You from shanghai,
So you know I can supply,
All your needs if you comply,
To the reason why,
I apply,

My love for you will never die,
This is true, I would never tell a lie,
I love you more than the rice grains form Thai,
I recently customized your name on a necktie,
You are the apple of my eye,

The only narcotic that keeps me high,
The only person with a smile that makes me fly,
Would love you like a Canadian loves his apple pie,
Please tell those boys, who pursue you to standby,
If our parents disapprove I will still defy,

On me you can rely,
We’ve been bonded above none other can untie,
You’ll be the mother of my,
Children do you catch what I imply,
That I can’t deny,

You, because on your farm I will ply,
I love the spark in your eye,
Like the stars in the night sky,
I assure to keep you forever that I’ll try,
When you’re in trouble I’ll die,

To save you like the cast from titanic,
Oh no please don’t panic,
My heart beats each time for you,
Like a stereo from Panasonic,

What I feel for you is strong than scents from garlic,
Please remember to kiss the letter with your lipstick,
When you reply, never regard the critic,
Sometimes I feel a bit frantic,
If anything goes wrong, the measures I’ll take will be drastic,

I lay thoughts for you down like a brick,
I am a bit homesick,
Because am still in Munich,
But I know when I return, I’ll wed you in front of the public,
When you call mine name I melt like plastic,

Your voice sounds like an old classic,
Will never pass away like Ghana’s hi-life music,
Nothing can measure what I feel for you not even a yardstick,
With me your life is insured like sic,
My nurse when I fall sick,
So I’ll forever stick,

To you like glue,
I’ll never live you and that’s a clue,
My remedy when I catch flu,
Am ready to kick anybody who dares us with kung-fu,
I learnt from Peru,

I can’t keep my words short like a Haiku,
Your beauty is like that of the ladies from Hebrew,
When you’re trouble I’d come to your rescue,
I’ve you on my chest like a tattoo,
I stand up for you when all are against you,

Like Rev. Desmond Tutu,
I grantee that we’ll never argue,
Even if we do we’ll resolve because we know how-to,
Naa Anyeley my love for you is true,
Naa Adoley had her chance, but blew,
It away likes that bird that just flew,

My love for you grew,
Like that of Paul forjoe jnr & Akwele,
So let’s take queue,
Please add wele.
next your banku & okro stew,

But you stole my heart with the jollof & kelewele,
I miss the way you,
Walk and shaawele,
Oh Naa Anyeley,
Please remember that I,

Will forever cherish you.
Yours true,
Nii Darku.

When will Africa arise (part two)

When will Africa arise?
How come we can’t rise each time we fall?
How many do we won’t to kill before we raise all?
I was taught civilization begun from Africa but now we they crawl,
There are a couple of attitudes we need to re-draw,
Before you act think about the people not the benefits,
Get that in your skull,
Campaigning for votes that’s what they say,
Promises and pledges, we vote, they win, you don’t have a say,
Because when they talk we carefully don’t listen,
Then we begin to cheer,
It’s our duty to recognize this politician and their lies,
We keep on asking the how’s & why’s,
When they lose, records of accounts get missing,
They claim they’re creating jobs but still,
Unemployment is a problem which must be dealt,
Because we’ve dropped what we have for what the whites have built,
Elected leaders, government officials, politicians,
Spend our money like know one’s business,
Some keep foreign accounts so after their term in office,
Is over they enjoy sweetness,
Some in this modern system still fight over cars this foolishness,
We’ve been working but we’re gaining no profits,
Is this our destiny to suffer this fate?
They have made our system so hard,
That even a three course meal is abominable,
People do make choice which explanations’ is unreasonable,
Education here & outside our shores is incomparable,
With no money education is not affordable,
Young girls sell their bodies for money to help support their families,
These things make some of us suffer too hard for them to realize,
Most of the youth has been demoralized about what’s happening,
While minister’s are into corruption & bribing,
The dude’s are into cyber- frauding,
Other’s find a way of duping people for a living,
The funds our leaders make when they export gold,
And other minerals haven’t been proven,
Some live extravagant lifestyle,
With the hard-working,
But less pay tax-payers money,
We sleep in broken homes they enjoy in mansions,
Pirates’ cease ships on the oceans,
How can we perform?
When we have no inspiration & motivation for the morning,
Abusive languages been used by our leaders should be our burdening,
There are lots to say but this are just few,
Lets all unite to help resolve
But how best can we help because Mother Africa has fallen,
This a question to us all……When will Africa arise?
